With graduation on the horizon in August, little more than four months away, and time to let previous lessons simmer, plans have a way of changing.
The coffee cart is well underway - I have a three-day class next month on some of the specifics, and will continue to work on implementing a cart into my pre-existing spiritual business. There is a significant lack of coffee in the metaphysical markets I've attended that want you to stay all day for seminars. The same is true for Renaissance fairs, where I still plan to sling potions (iced coffees) for weary, dusty folk in need of a boost.
In addition to these plans, another plan emerged: book publishing. While I already planned to publish my own finished manuscripts, I found that I could apply the same process to manuscripts written by friends. Well, if I was going to do that, I may as well open up that service to acquaintances and strangers. Opening an independent publishing company was a very lofty idea at the beginning of my education last year. Through further research and more classes to fill in the gaps in my knowledge, the confidence and determination to see this through blossomed.
Rusty Owl Publishing is still in its infancy while I gather lists of editors, cover designers and lawyers, and I plan to use this company for my final business plan in my master's program.
